Yerevan Museum of Modern Art invites you to the opening of the solo exhibition of Javed Vasseh, which will take place on 04.04 of this year, at 16:00.

Javed Wasseh was born in Afghanistan.

Childhood was memorable and pleasant, but due to the war moved to Europe more than 30 years ago.

“My pictures are like a radio station, if you dig into them and not just pass by, you will hear interesting stories... Memories from childhood: a beautiful snowy winter in Kabul, playing air snakes with my brother Shekeb.

They are good memories, sweet memories... And memories with a bitter taste, away from parents, already from Germany."

Appearing in Germany, he visited galleries and museums, attended concerts.

The world of art attracted him, although it was new and completely unfamiliar.

At first he had to do various jobs to earn a living and slowly started painting.

At first he painted with charcoal, later with acrylic paints.

Over time, he gained experience and became the author of his unique style and technique, using an ordinary shower and preferring the vertical format.

Javed did not study art, but was patronized by Professor Udo Schell, former chancellor of the Munster Academy.

Began to participate in exhibitions in Germany and outside Germany, in particular at the Franz-Hitze-Haus Academy in Münster.

Javed's last exhibition was in New York.

"My pictures often don't have titles, because they are my philosophy, my feelings expressed in color.

Feelings about the past and present, how I perceive myself in the world around me."

The exhibition will be open until April 20, 2025   The ticket costs 500 drams
