In 1930
– graduated from the state school of architecture, simultaneously attending the Academy of Grand Chaumier.
He received the first class prize at the exhibition of French painters.
Since 1930, the works have been constantly exhibited in the "Hall of Independents", the "Ani" company and the "Union of Armenian Independent Artists".
Since 1939, Garzu has held more than 100 individual exhibitions.
Since 1941, exhibitions in the "Autumn Hall".
Since 1945, permanent exhibitions in the "Druan Davit" gallery.
In 1945
- received the Île-de-France I prize.
In 1955
- awarded with the Grand Prize (Tokyo).
In 1956
- the artist was awarded the Legion of Honor.

- solo exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of his birth, National Gallery of Armenia (Yerevan).

The works are located in the Museum of Modern Art (Yerevan), in many private galleries and collections of different countries.
