- was born in Alexandria (Egypt).

In 1943

- moved to Cairo.

1943-1947

- was a freelance student at the Cairo Institute of Fine Arts.

Participant of many group exhibitions and biennials since 1944.

1952-1954

- studied at the Grand Chaumier Academy in Paris.

In 1953

- Received the II class award at the World Festival of Youth and Students held in Bucharest.

1954-1961

- worked as an interior artist-designer (Cairo).

In 1961

- donated the works to the State Gallery of Armenia.

He has been living in Armenia since 1962 (Leninak).

1963-1967

- was a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Armenian SSR.

In 1965

- moved to Yerevan.

In 1967

- Received the 1st class award at the Republican Exhibition dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution.

In 1970

- Received a bronze medal at the All-Union Exhibition.

1970 - was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Armenian SSR.

In 1977

- received the state award of the ASSR and the title of People's Artist of the ASSR.

Individual exhibitions of the artist were opened in Estonia, Georgia, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Paris and elsewhere.

In 2003

- a retrospective individual exhibition dedicated to the 80th birthday was held (Artists' Union of Armenia, Yerevan).

He was awarded the "Sahak Parthev" and "Mesrop Mashtots" orders by the Catholicos of All Armenians.

In 2006

- solo exhibitions in Los Angeles, Minsk.

In 2007

- solo exhibition in Marseille.

in 2009

- solo exhibition dedicated to the 85th anniversary of his birth (Union of Artists of Armenia, Yerevan).

In 2013 - died in Yerevan.

The works are located in the Museum of Modern Art (Yerevan), the National Gallery of Armenia, the Museum of the Peoples of the East (Moscow), and many private collections in Armenia and abroad.
