Harutyun Kalents (1910-1967) Harutyun Kalents (1910-1967). In 1910 - was born in the city of Kyurin (Turkey). He received painting education in private studios, in particular, with the French artist Claude Michel. In 1930 has always participated in group and individual exhibitions organized in Lebanon and New York. In 1935 - became one of the founders of the Lebanese Union of Artists. In 1946 settled permanently in Armenia. In the same year, he became a member of the Union of Artists of Armenia. In 1961 - had solo exhibitions in Moscow and Yerevan. In 1967 died in Yerevan. 1971-1973 - individual and group exhibitions in Moscow, Saint Petersburg and Yerevan. In 1997 - the memoirs dedicated to Harutyun Kalents were published by the artist's wife, Armine Kalents. 2000 - an exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of his birth.     The works are in the Museum of Modern Art (Yerevan), the National Gallery of Armenia, and many private collections in Armenia and abroad.
